On the afternoon of June 18, 2026, the art exhibition of the Third “Xianghuahuai (Fragrant Sophora) Art Festival” of Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences opened at the Art Exhibition Hall on the 10th floor of Chongde Building.
With the fragrant sophora as its theme, the exhibition presents 134 original works by faculty and students from the Department of Art and Design. The works cover multiple professional directions, including Visual Communication, Environmental Design, Oil Painting, Traditional Chinese Painting, Watercolor, and Photography.

Muhammad Ali, Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Punjab, Pakistan, led a seven-member delegation and attended the opening ceremony upon invitation. Also present at the opening ceremony were Xing Xiaoyan, Vice Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Photographers Association; relevant heads of vivo Inner Mongolia; Zhou Yushu, President of Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences; Wang Jiali, Vice President; Wuliji, Director of the Department of Art and Design; heads of relevant functional departments; and some faculty and student representatives.

Wang Jiali, Vice President of Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences, delivered a speech.

Han Zhuona, a teacher from the Department of Art and Design, also spoke.

Yuan Rongpei, a student from the 2023 Chinese Painting class of the Painting major, Department of Art and Design, gave a speech.

Wuliji, Director of the Department of Art and Design, presented the painting Two Sparrows and Fragrant Sophora to Muhammad Ali, Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Punjab, Pakistan. Li Xinglin, the teacher who created the work, introduced its meaning on site. The work takes the fragrant sophora as its subject, with two sparrows leaning close to each other and calling to one another, symbolizing that China-Pakistan friendship is deeply rooted, flourishing, and evergreen.
At the opening ceremony, guests presented awards to the winning faculty and students. A total of 5 students and 1 teacher won the First Prize; 9 students and 2 teachers won the Second Prize; and 14 students and 3 teachers won the Third Prize.

Rooted in the rich cultural soil of the campus, Hongde students interpret their understanding and pursuit of beauty through one warm and profound artwork after another. In the process of creation, they continue to hone their skills and cultivate their sentiments, demonstrating the cultural consciousness and artistic responsibility of the younger generation.
First Prize — Muhammad Ali, Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Punjab, Pakistan, and Zhou Yushu, President of Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences, presented awards to the First Prize winners.

Second Prize — Fan Ning, Manager of the User Operations Department of vivo Inner Mongolia, and Wang Jiali, Vice President of Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences, presented awards to the Second Prize winners.

Third Prize — Wang Yue, Head of Higher Education at vivo Inner Mongolia, and Hao Min, Director of the Academic Affairs Office of Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences, presented awards to the Third Prize winners.


It is reported that the exhibition will run until June 30. Faculty and students are welcome to visit it on the 10th floor of Chongde Building.
