During the conference, Professor Tang Jun delivered a presentation entitled “Survey and Research on China-Pakistan Research Centers under the Framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.” In his presentation, Professor Tang highlighted the significant role of China-Pakistan research institutions in promoting academic cooperation, enhancing mutual understanding, and strengthening people-to-people connectivity between China and Pakistan.

The presentation provided an overview of the current development status of China-Pakistan research centers, emphasizing their contributions to policy research, knowledge exchange, cultural communication, and academic collaboration under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Professor Tang noted that research institutions serve as important platforms for deepening bilateral cooperation by facilitating interdisciplinary studies, supporting academic networks, and promoting constructive dialogue between scholars from both countries.

Furthermore, Professor Tang put forward several suggestions for enhancing the sustainable development of China-Pakistan research institutions. These recommendations included strengthening international academic partnerships, expanding joint research programs, improving research capacity-building mechanisms, and encouraging greater cooperation among universities, think tanks, and governmental and non-governmental organizations.

The conference attracted nearly one hundred experts, scholars, and researchers from approximately ten countries and regions. Participants shared valuable insights from diverse academic perspectives, addressing topics related to sustainable development, social governance, regional cooperation, and the role of Pakistan in global development processes. The discussions provided meaningful academic contributions to understanding contemporary challenges and opportunities facing Pakistan and the wider South Asian region.

The participation of the Pakistan Research Center of Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences in this international academic event further demonstrates the Center’s commitment to promoting international academic exchange and strengthening China-Pakistan scholarly cooperation. It also reflects the College’s active engagement in advancing research cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

In the future, the Pakistan Research Center will continue to leverage its academic strengths, deepen cooperation with research institutions and universities in Pakistan and other countries, and actively promote educational exchanges, joint research projects, and cultural communication between China and Pakistan. Through sustained academic collaboration, the Center aims to make greater contributions to enhancing mutual understanding, strengthening bilateral relations, and fostering long-term cooperation between the two countries.
