Pakistan Research Center Takes Part in the 2nd Muztagh Forum: International Academic Seminar on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor
 

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and to promote high-quality research on their development while further consolidating China-Pakistan and China-Central Asia relations in the new era, Kashi University convened the 2nd Muztagh Forum: International Academic Seminar on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor from June 18 to 19, 2023. The Pakistan Research Center of Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences participated in the seminar online and delivered a keynote presentation.

The seminar brought together a large number of experts and scholars from China, Pakistan, Central Asian countries and international organizations, both online and on-site. Centered on high-quality development of the CPEC, regional connectivity and sustainable cooperation, the participants engaged in in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics, including infrastructure development, industrial collaboration, cultural exchanges and people-to-people ties along the corridor.

On behalf of the Pakistan Research Center, Director Tang Jun delivered a thematic presentation highlighting the Center’s latest research achievements related to the CPEC. The presentation focused on concrete case studies in areas such as economic cooperation and cross-cultural communication along the corridor, and also drew on the Center’s previous studies on the ancient Indus seals and CPEC project research. The report was well received and sparked lively exchanges among the attending scholars.

The participation of the Pakistan Research Center in this international seminar demonstrated the Center’s growing academic strength and its active role in the broader scholarly community dedicated to China-Pakistan studies. Over the years, the Center has been committed to deepening research on Pakistan and promoting mutual understanding through academic platforms. It has consistently contributed to the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and to the enrichment of China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.

The Muztagh Forum has become an important academic event for CPEC-related research. The Pakistan Research Center’s engagement not only showcased its own research progress, but also strengthened the College’s academic ties with universities and think tanks at home and abroad. Moving forward, the Center will continue to take an active part in such international dialogues, produce more high-level research outputs, and further enhance Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences’ influence in Pakistan studies and regional cooperation research.
