Pakistan Studies/The Embassy of China in Pakistan participated in the annual charity bazaar organized by the Women’s Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on November 19, 2023.
The event brought together distinguished guests, including First Lady of Pakistan Samina Alvi, Pakistan Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his spouse, Foreign Secretary Syrus Sajjad Qazi and his spouse, as well as ambassadors, diplomats, and representatives from various sectors of Pakistani society.
The annual charity event provided an important platform for diplomatic missions and local communities to showcase their cultures, promote friendship, and support charitable causes.
The Chinese Embassy set up two special booths featuring traditional handicrafts and Chinese cuisine, beautifully decorated with Chinese cultural elements, including the national flag and traditional Chinese knots.
The exhibition attracted visitors from Pakistan and other countries, offering them an opportunity to experience China’s rich cultural heritage.

Visitors from different countries came to the Chinese booth throughout the event, enjoying the cultural experience and expressing appreciation for China’s traditions.
Pakistan’s First Lady Samina Alvi visited the Chinese booth and praised the richness and diversity of Chinese culture.
Representatives from the Chinese Embassy also actively participated in other activities of the charity bazaar, including the national flag parade and cultural performances.
Through music, art, and cultural presentations, young Chinese representatives demonstrated the vitality of Chinese youth and the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.
The event became not only a charity activity but also a meaningful opportunity to strengthen understanding and friendship among different countries and peoples.
To demonstrate the close friendship between China and Pakistan and express support for charitable initiatives in Pakistan, the Chinese Embassy donated 1.5 million Pakistani rupees to the Women’s Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
In addition, all proceeds from the Chinese booth’s charity sales were donated to support the association’s charitable activities.
The contribution received positive recognition and appreciation from Pakistani organizers and participants.
The participation of the Chinese Embassy in the charity bazaar reflects the broader commitment of China and Pakistan to strengthening people-to-people connections.
Beyond government-to-government cooperation, cultural exchanges and community engagement play an important role in bringing the two peoples closer together.
