Pakistan Studies/Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Pakistan in China Visits Honder for "Pakistan Culture Day"
On September 28, 2021, Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences held its first "Pakistan Culture Day." Mr. Ahmed Farooq, Deputy Head of Mission (Minister) at the Embassy of Pakistan in China, attended the event with his family.

President Zhou Yushu and Mr. Ahmed Farooq held a discussion in the conference room. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges and reached broad consensus on topics including the continued use of the "Masood Scholarship" for Pakistani student education, research on ancient Indian civilization, and further cooperation between Honder College and the Embassy of Pakistan in China. Going forward, Honder will deepen close exchanges and cooperation with Pakistan in the fields of culture, education, and scientific research.

At the Fountain Square, a vibrant Pakistani dance kicked off the "Pakistan Culture Day" activities. During the "Pakistan Fashion Show," Mr. Ahmed Farooq and his family were invited on stage to showcase traditional Pakistani attire together with students from the Department of Foreign Languages. The dance "White Horse" performed by the Department of Education, the dance "Expectations of September" by the College Student Art Troupe, and the situational drama "China-Pakistan Friendship Hospitality" by the Department of Foreign Languages expressed best wishes for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan and celebrated the profound friendship between the two countries. The event was colorful and filled with a lively atmosphere, drawing rounds of applause from the audience.

Afterwards, accompanied by college leaders, Mr. Ahmed Farooq visited the Prehistoric Academy, where President Zhou Yushu introduced the Pakistan Research Center's studies on ancient Indian civilization and scripts. Mr. Ahmed Farooq also toured the College History Museum on the fifth floor of the library and the "Masood Hall," which bears witness to the friendship between Honder and Pakistan. Following the tour, everyone enjoyed Chinese and Pakistani cuisine together at the Prehistoric Academy.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations, and the "Pakistan Culture Day" event stands as an important manifestation of the warm and friendly ties between Honder and Pakistan. From now on, the college will hold "Pakistan Culture Day" annually to continuously deepen bilateral friendly exchanges and practical cooperation, striving for more fruitful outcomes.
