The other is the academic paper An Investigation of Ancient Rock Paintings in the Suobei Mountains of the Wulengjilun River Basin, Upper Reaches of the West Liaohe River, authored independently by Wu Jiacai.

The Inner Mongolia Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award is the highest award in the field of philosophy and social sciences established by the People’s Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It aims to honor outstanding social science achievements that stand at the academic frontier and serve the overall development strategy, so as to promote the prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences.
The two award-winning achievements both focus on the distinctive research field of northern Chinese rock paintings, featuring profound academic value and distinctive regional characteristics. As a research outcome funded by the Inner Mongolia Social Science Fund, Rock Paintings of Chifeng embodies years of painstaking fieldwork led by President Zhou Yushu and his research team. It incorporates a large number of rock painting materials published for the first time, providing detailed first-hand materials for the academic community to conduct in-depth research on Chifeng rock paintings and explore the origins of early Chinese civilization.
The academic paper An Investigation of Ancient Rock Paintings in the Suobei Mountains of the Wulengjilun River Basin, Upper Reaches of the West Liaohe River, based on systematic field surveys, accurately presents the distribution characteristics and cultural connotations of rock paintings in this region, and carries important reference value for advancing research on regional prehistoric culture.

Going forward, Inner Mongolia Hongde University of Arts and Sciences will take this award as an opportunity to continuously deepen its research in philosophy and social sciences, further strengthen the development of its distinctive academic disciplines, and closely align with the key priorities of social science development in the autonomous region as well as the practical needs of local development.
The university will encourage its researchers to pursue dedicated study and bold innovation, striving to produce more high-quality achievements that integrate both academic value and practical significance. It will continue to contribute Hongde’s strength to the prosperity of regional social science undertakings and the inheritance and innovation of local culture.
