Regulations for the Apartment Management

In order to create a better living and working environment for all the foreign teachers and students, the regulations for apartment management are set as follows:

I. After been approved, the foreign teachers who are invited by Honder College（or Little London）with a valid visa shall live in the apartment for foreigners and the residence information will be put in record by the Security Department of Honder College. The Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) is in charge of the apartment management and any duplication of apartment keys and occupation of the rooms without permission will not be allowed.

II. Foreign teachers and students should not invite other people to live or stay over night in your apartment. Please report to the FAO beforehand when your spouse, children, parents, friends or other relatives come to visit you during the daytime.

III. Foreign teachers and students shall obey the laws in China, the regulations in school and pay respect to the Chinese Customs. Any friends reception and entertainment activities should not disturb the rest of the tenants who live in the same building. No fighting, alcoholism and other disturbing behavior is allowed on campus as well as in the apartment area.

IV. Illegal power connection, high power electric cooker, flammable and combustible items are not allowed to occur in the apartment for your personal safety and the apartment equipment should not be reconfigured and furniture in the apartment should not be damaged. If anyone destroyed the apartment property, he/she will be required to compensate Honder according to the cost.

V. Please keep your apartment and the public area clean at all times. When leaving the room, please check your electronic appliance and lock your windows and doors. After using the public kitchen, please keep it clean. If there’s anything wrong with the electronic appliance or other equipment, please notify the staff of apartment management. For security reasons, please don’t attempt to repair them by yourself.

VI. Please notify the FAO in time if any potential safety hazard occurs on campus.

VII. Anyone who goes out after 22:30 or comes back after 23:00 should not be allowed, except for emergency. Any party thrown after 10:30 p.m. will not be allowed only if the party is without loud music and other noises that disturb others.

VIII. If you apply to live outside, a procedure of application is needed first to the FAO of our college and then to the PSB or the local police station. One could move outside after the application procedure is completed.

IX. A guarantee deposit of 500RMB for the school property is needed the day you move in the apartment and will be refunded after the expiration of the contract. If there’s any damage of the school property, the deposit will not be returned and compensation should be paid according to the cost if the deposit is not enough. If the apartment is not kept clean and tidy, an amount of cleaning fee from 50RMB to 200RMB accordingly will be required. When leaving the school, the apartment keys should be returned to the staff of apartment management and your check out procedure will be accomplished by the signature of the staff of apartment management on the checklist of school property.

X. Ascertained by the FAO, the school has the right to dismiss anyone according to the contract who breaks the school regulations three times.

I will assume responsibility by myself for any damage that may occur to me because of my disregard and disobey of the agreement above. This agreement will take effect when it is signed by Foreign Teacher and the representative of FAO of Honder College.
